We look forward to your visit.
Computerized Tomography
A "CT" or "CAT" scan is used to describe a radiological test known as computed tomography. This test is an innovative way of looking at the inside of the body. The CT scanner is donut-like in shape. The images it produces are cross-sectional-patterned much like slices of bread. By taking a series of such images, a CT scan can create a multidimensional view of your body.
CT makes it possible to diagnose a wide variety of medical conditions because it sees inside of the head and body that cannot be seen on regular x-rays.
For many computed tomography examinations you may be asked to take a special contrast material (orally, rectally, and/or by injection). Intravenous (IV), oral, and rectal CT contrast liquids are sometimes referred to as "dye". CT contrast is used to make specific organs, blood vessels, and/or tissue types "stand out" to show the presence of disease or injury.
Radiology/Fluoroscopy
X-rays are a wonderful addition to the world of medicine; they allow Doctors to peer into the human body without a surgical procedure. It’s much easier and safer to examine a broken bone with x-rays than to open a patient up.
Radiography, known to lay people as “x-ray”, is the oldest and most commonly used type of medical imaging. X-rays are created by passing a small, highly controlled amounts of ionizing radiation though a specific area of the human body, capturing the resultant shadows and reflections on a digital plate
Baylor Medical Center at Trophy Club uses state of the art GE Precision 500D equipment in order to maximize image quality and to limit radiation to the patient.
Nuclear Medicine
The Millennium MG provides a fully integrated system for acquisition and display of Nuclear Medicine data. Nuclear Medicine allows physicians to see the function of the body unlike Cat Scan or MRI which show the structure of the body.
Our system acquires data for all types of routine Nuclear Medicine studies utilizing two camera heads for a quicker scan. In addition, it allows you to display your images for review, and transfer them to a GE Processing and Review workstation for further processing, filming and archiving.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is the method of choice for evaluating many different types of injuries and conditions due to its ability to tailor exams to the particular medical question being asked.
Images of unparalleled detail are obtained by using a strong magnetic field, special radio frequencies, and a computer; all without using ionizing radiation.
Baylor Medical Center at Trophy Club uses GE’s Signa 1.5T short bore system, which is slightly shorter in length and has a wider bore than most conventional MRI systems, giving it a more “open” feel without sacrificing image quality.
Ultrasound
Ultrasound imaging is a relatively inexpensive, fast and radiation-free imaging modality. Ultrasound is excellent for the non-invasive diagnosis of a number of conditions. Ultrasound is used extensively to show fetal development and is also used in the evaluation of the kidneys, liver, gallbladder, pancreas, heart, and blood vessels.
Patients often lie down for the sonogram. A clear, water-based conducting gel is applied to the skin over the area being examined to help with the transmission of the sound waves. The hand held ultrasound transducer is then moved over the area of interest.
Baylor Medical Center at Trophy Club utilizes the most recent edition of ultrasound equipment manufactured by General Electric to produce high quality digital images for physician interpretation.

Digital Imaging
Baylor Medical Center at Trophy Club is a filmless hospital, employing the highest in technical advanced radiology and digitally enhanced imagery. All images are saved as files and can be sent via secure website or burned to CD. Images are immediately viewable by physicians on specialized computer screens.
